Hi, I’m Jakera

Doméstique emerged during a pivotal time in my life. Burnt out from work and struggling to balance my career with maintaining a beautiful home, my husband and I decided to downsize. This choice allowed me to take a step back and reflect on what I truly wanted to pursue.

As we downsized, I quickly recognized the excess we had accumulated over the years. To ensure our new home was a space of peace and intentionality, I devised a plan and eliminated more than half of our belongings. Moving into a smaller space challenged us to creatively optimize organization and storage, as I prioritize both function and aesthetics.

Now, when I open a drawer to find only the necessary forks and spoons for two, or when I no longer sift through a wall of clothes to find my favorite sweatpants, I appreciate the thoughtfully curated and meaningful spaces I’ve created. I aim to gift and empower women who feel overwhelmed in their homes with the ability to bring order to chaos. Together, we can reclaim the beauty of simplicity, allowing them to focus more on what they love most.

I offer a free in-home consultation where we do a walkthrough and come up with a personalized Home Edit plan. We’ll also discuss your goals and answer any questions you have.

Edit

The editing phase is where we declutter, sort, donate, sell or throw away.

  • The length of the project depends on the size of the space and the complexity of your organizing needs. Typically, an entire home takes a few sessions, but we provide a detailed timeline during the initial consultation. We also offer ongoing maintenance services to keep your space in pristine condition.

  • You can easily schedule a service online or by calling us. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs.

  • While you’re welcome to be involved, many clients prefer to trust our expertise and leave the work to us. For larger projects, we recommend being available for key decision-making moments, but most organizing and styling tasks can be done in your absence.

  • We understand that life can change unexpectedly. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee. For cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment, a fee of 25% of the project cost will apply.
